Somello Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 19, 2026

Somello ("we", "us") is a mobile app that reads a restaurant's food menu and wine list from photos you take and suggests wine pairings, using only the wines on that list. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

How we use information

How information is shared

We share information with service providers only as needed to run the app:

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

Menu photos are not retained after a request is processed. Account and usage data are kept while your account is active. On-device data remains until you clear it in the app or uninstall.

Your choices

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over your personal information, including the right to access a copy of it, correct it, delete it, receive it in a portable format, or object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below; we will respond within the timeframe your local law requires. If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another region with a data protection authority, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children

Somello is intended only for adults of legal drinking age and is not directed to anyone under that age.

Security & international processing

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. Your information is processed in the United States and may be processed in other countries; where your local law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on the contractual protections in our agreements with our processors (such as standard contractual clauses).

Changes

We may update this policy; we will revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
